Job Description
Our client is looking for the following:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Attending disciplinary and grievance proceedings and giving advice thereon.
• Facilitating relationships between management and unions to maintain industrial peace
• Chairing and facilitating of workplace participative structures to promote sound labor relations between management and unions.
• Coordinating IR Training at the workplace
• Assisting in dispute resolution processes
• Preparing and compiling of the HR reports and statistics
• Interpreting and providing professional advice on the application of policies, procedures directives, collective agreements and relevant labor legislation.
• General administrative duties
Qualifications of the Candidate
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant
• 2 years working experience in Human Resources or Industrial Relations
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Good knowledge of relevant labor legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, COIDA, OHSA, etc)
• Latest case law developments
• Dispute resolution processes
• Industrial action management
• Conflict handling strategies
• Workplace forums
• Collective bargaining & negotiation
• Disciplinary & grievance procedures
