Job Description
The Director of Application Development is a key leadership position within the IT Team. This highly visible role reports directly to the CIO and carries significant managerial, budgetary, architectural and project delivery responsibilities. Only highly qualified candidates will be considered.
Qualifications of the Candidate
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field required.
Leadership Skills:
• 5 years of management experience in an enterprise environment
• Management and over-site of all information systems running a major national enterprise
• Leadership of a large team of developers, vendors & analysts
• Technology and business strategy visionary
• Strategic direction setting with a senior executive team
Technology:
• 7-10 years software development experience
• Strong systems architecture experience
• Strong hands-on software development experience. Microsoft technologies (Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, C#, Visual Basic, etc) a plus.
• Strong experience with business process analysis and technical requirements documentation
Relationship Management:
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to a C-level audience
• Ability to relate well with both technical developers, and non-technical business-users
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
