Job Description
Job Description : Elevator safety & hoistway equipment mechanical component development, quality improvement, cost reduction and product support.
Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:
- Conduct modeling and analysis of mechanical components according to Company product development standards.
- Research, design and evaluate mechanical elevator products using modeling & analysis tools to evaluate requirement compliance.
- Validate analytical models with test data.
- Prepare post-processing documents & analysis reports.
- Support product quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Provide support to Project Management Engineers on a regular basis.
- Provide support to Company organizations on matters relating to modeling & analysis of mechanical components.
- Provide other segments with mechanical engineering modeling support as required.
Accountability & measures:
- Job performance will be measured in accordance with component project success and ability to serve the customers.
Qualifications of the Candidate
Candidate Must Have : - BS Mechanical Engineering degree. MS preferred.
- Minimum 7 years design/analysis work experience.
- Experienced in static & dynamic, linear & non-linear, contact stress, multi-physics FEA (structural & thermal) modeling and simulation tools, such as Pro/Mechanica, ANSYS, Pro/Mechanisms and RecurDyn. Experience with various CFD tools such as Flowtherm, and CFDesign are beneficial.
