President Message
On behalf of the Planning Committee, I would like to invite you to participate in the 4th Annual CareerNation Africa Brain Gain Conference scheduled for Saturday July 18, 2009. The conference will be held at the Hilton New York located at 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, New York. The theme of the conference is "Emerging Africa - a Human Resource Agenda”. In the last decade, African countries have experienced dramatic growth with renewed opportunities in the fields of finance, energy telecommunication, and entrepreneurship. This transformation has been featured in many international case studies and success stories. The underlying idea behind the conference theme is to highlight and share the role of “the human side” of this transformation. - Provide a platform for networking among leaders in the business community, human resources executives, policy makers, emerging entrepreneurs and professionals who have an interest in Africa. The Annual CareerNation Africa Brain Gain conference is always a momentous occasion for the staff of CareerNation. Working together, we will make it a momentous occasion for everyone involved, and most importantly, for Africa.
Endorsements "Rebuilding any African economy is a complicated process with many steps. The ability to quickly respond to human resource needs is really one of the most basic steps in that process. What I appreciate most about CareerNation is that they are committed to the detailed step-by-step work that needs to be done. The African Brain Drain is simply a human resource crisis and companies like CareerNation have to be part of any strategy for addressing such a crisis." "Intellectual capital is the engine that drives economic growth and reversing the brain drain increases Africa's intellectual capital. CareerNation helps reverse the brain drain from Africa through matching thousands of job seekers to potential employers. " "One of the keys to sustained economic development has to be creating and nurturing a talented local skill force. Stimulating an African Brain Gain is fundamentally a human resources issue. Companies like CareerNation are going to be crucial in any effort to improve the commercial environment in Africa. |
